The semester is coming to an end, and that means time for cleaning out my room, old papers, old files, etc, etc . I have built up quite a plethora of images on my desktop - dresses I liked, spreads in magazines I liked. Anyways, they are about to be unloaded. This post is kind of helter-skelter, so I apologize for that, that's sort of where my brain is at right now, and I'm sure you can relate. Okay here goes.

This first image is a portrait of contemporary artist Marilyn Minter. You should look up her work - personally, I am obsessed with her. I think this photograph really resonates as a fashion portrait, and she looks really chic. Plus I think she has a Betsey Johnson vibe going on - in a good way.

These are a few pages from a spread "A Dream of a Dress" from Italian Vogue. I think it is to die for. The dresses look magnificent, and I've never seen couture so beautifully showcased. The photography is by Paolo Roversi. Definitely worth remembering.

These pictures are from an editorial "Couturama" in Elle Italia. The model is really striking and the clothes, again, look gorgeous. Its cheeky. I feel like American magazines don't go there sometimes. This is going somewhere.

These last three pictures are of girls who participated in the 2009 Bal Crillon, a famous debutant ball held at the Crillon Hotel in Paris. I think a lot of the dresses for the event could go overboard, but these were done so well. I guess I have an affinity for cream colored couture.
Well. I hope you enjoyed the images that have been festering on my hard drive all semester, waiting to be shared.
