So she gets a blog post.
Carrie is one of my closest friends at college, and I have always highly admired her sense of fashion. She always keeps it classy, but isn't too conservative or conventional with her clothing. One might even say she's...funky.
Anyways, the birthday girl deserves a shout out for her fetching threads, here are some of my favorite outfits.
As shown in her most recent profile picture, Carrie rocks some classic nautical stripes, but adds her own twists. Her strapless shirt is actually supposed to be a skirt - oh American Apparel you trickster - but she used her imagination, and look at that, an ultra-flattering going out top. The soft gold belt compliments the tan/off-white strips perfectly, and on the bottom carrie keeps it simple with black leggings, a slim, clean line to offset the volume and length of her top. Well done.

Here is Carrie in a summer outfit, on the Fourth of July. She subtly rocks the patriotism in her classic jean dress, perfect to dress up or down for any occasion. The red belt is just the right pop of color, and the canvas bag is not only practical but an essential accent. To top it all off, her sunglasses give her outfit an air of playfulness and youth, and who doesn't need that?
A classic outfit for Carrie this fall would, I would say, consist of skinny jeans and this beautiful black jacket. Again, she plays off the volume of the jacket with a sleeker line down below. And her does a slight pop of color under the jacket, bringing visual interest up towards the face, and adding, overall, a unique flare to the ensemble.

As Carrie waits in line for concert tickets, she screams boho-chic. Just because you rolled out of bed early enough to get to the front of the line doesn't mean you can't look good while being warm and comfortable. Carrie's goddess maxi dress is a bold statement piece that I think every girl wishes they could pull off as naturally as Carrie does here. The slouchiness of the cardigan and the lackadaisically thrown scarf around her neck add to the feeling of this full length dress as casual and relaxed.

Girl can also do fancy. If there's anything Carrie wants to be, its fancy. Classy with her hair pulled back, Carrie indulges in rich jewel tones like the purple in her dress. She adds a bold sparkle with her sunburst necklace, which perfectly offsets the simplicity of the rest of her outfit. Her two-tone high heeled boots make the perfect final touch.
Carrie also always knows how to have fun with dressing up. Halloween, a themed party, you name it, Carrie is up for the challenge. She rocked a Madeline costume on Halloween with uncanny precision, down to the perfect boy-toy accessory, Pepito.

At a jungle-themed party she strutted her Zebra-Barbie butt around in outrageous heels, a tu-tu and a vaguely see through zebra v-neck.

And finally, always ready to take on a challenge, Carrie's debut on the runway at Main buildings Anything But Clothes fashion show. She worked it.

Like always! And thats why I steal from her closet!
Til next time.
