Spring Break 2010.

im sorry that maddie and i never got our act together for a friday post. i was hittin the slopes of the Adirondack mts and maddie was chillen with Lisa Kudro, nbd. but me being on spring break means an on time post so i hope you enjoy. im going to run down a long list of things so prepare yourself- my brain is scattered as will be this post.

thought 1. mountain attire. walking into the lodge of any mountain is a fantastic experience. not only are you itching to sit the slopes, but the people watching is unreal. i would compare ski/ snowboard people watching to sitting on a cafe and watching people in NYC- it just doesn't get much better. I saw some KICKIN retro coats (love the neons) and some outfits that burned (BURNED) retinas. Many people who are just sitting in the lodge think its ok to dress like a hobo and truth be told- it may be- but one should NEVER leave house without:

a) the proper bra
b) under eye cover
c) pants that cover your ass crack

is that too much to ask?! Also, I could not get enough of the little kids skiing... not only did they blow past me, but their funky patterned coats are genius and fun! We're talking zebra, neon colors, flower power and army getup.

thought 2. your but in jeans. i just arrived home from target and was dismayed to see many people in jeans that just didn't fit. where are stacy and clinton when we need them?! if you are going to wear skinny jeans, fine, just make sure your tush fits (no cracks, please!) in them and that they're not sagging (looking like something is sitting in them... use your imagination). Also, no one wants to wear or see someone wearing jeans that look painted on. If i can see leg wrinkles or pulls- the jeans are too small. As sucky as it is, size is JUST a number, it's about how you feel in them that matters.

thought 3. sneakers. everyone needs fun sneaks and kicks for spring. that's all for that one.

thought 4. recent outfits that i've loved...

Joyce here is wearing a FAB native American print winter coat and to die for Frye boots

Margaux looks so cute here in a simple jeans and black top look as I wear a LF bargain of the century dress

Pretty, pretty ladies of 206! everyones colors, outfits and hair look picture perfect. i couldn't tell you where any of these outfits came from but everyone pulled it out and let their voices shine through which i LOVE.

who doesn't love a snowball fight!? I think the smiles and memories make the outfits.

hope everyone is doing well and we'd love to hear from you (opinions, what you want us to talk about or thoughts- lay it on us!)
