Well, school is officially back in session. After a week of no classes, and just straight up shenanigans, I am ready to hit the books and take some fashion study breaks. Since most Boston College students moved in over a week ago, I have had plenty of time to scope out the nightlife attire scene.
Let me begin with one of the things that I have seen most around school, the high waisted skirt. Whether paired with a tiny tank for a night off campus, or a V-neck solid shirt for a more conservative class look, I would definitely give this piece a fashion high five. It’s versatile, adorable, and affordable. Last night I encountered a friend wearing an adorable high waisted grey skirt with a white V-neck; not only did she look adorable and put together, her whole outfit was for under $16! Both pieces were from Forever21: the shirt being $4 and the skirt a simple $12…now that’s fashion on a college budget.
Although it was just Labor day yesterday, there is definitely a fall chill in the air making jeans often a necessity. Just today, September 8th, it was a chilly 59 degrees when I walked to class at 9 AM making Brenna’s choice of skinny jeans and ruffled button down a genius pick for the first day of class. Brenna was not alone, like Vassar, I saw many people who opted for the jeans and solid color top, a without fail classy approach to a new school year.
While I was disappointed by many of the boys who simply rolled out of bed still wearing sweats, I saw a few choice gentlemen who looked dapper in Nantucket red shorts and well fitted Polos. Looking nice on the first day of class never hurt anyone.
While Janelle, Matt and Brad mocked me for planning my outfit so far in advance, I chose to work a simple white short (sorry, usually I DO follow the white laws of labor day, today was an exception) with a tie-dyed peasant shirt. I paired this duo with a green sling back flat sandal so I was well on my way to walk up the 122 stairs to my class.
I know I'm a goof, just accept it.
That’s all for now…3 hours of classes and I’m already in over my head. Happy schooling!
girl looking hawt.. :))
