Summer Luvin

I can't believe I have been home 5 weeks now- and what is to show for all this time so far, pretty much nada. Who knows how I have been passing time (as Maddie writes to Jasper Johns...) so sorry for the lack of bloggage... and thank you Janelle for setting me straight.

By request, lets talk some summer style. It's so easy to go thru summer in a bathing suit and gym shorts, and let's face it- once camp starts, my once piece doesn't come off but let's pretend like I have a life and will wear my cute clothes once in a while...

My research (aka people watching) has showed me racer back tanks are very in. According to Nanc, they are also very flattering. So, show off those shoulders... a hint of back is sexy after all...

Rompers are also all the rage which of course, makes me very excited. Just an FYI tho, make sure it fits ok because there is nothing more unflattering than having a raccoon in your uterus or the opposite, looking like farmer in the dell.

I can't say that I'm a huge fan of the one shoulder look, I think it CAN be a classy look when done right but according to the latest ELLE, the one shoulder look is big time. I think the one shoulder look is def more of a night time look and should never be taken too seriously. I recently purchased a Marc by Marc one shoulder one piece bathing suit because I loved the pattern, and well, it's Marc so I look forward to seeing the reception I get in it...

Lastly, fun jeans are well, so fun. Just this passed weekend in NYC, my gurl Joyce was reppin the SICKEST tapered jeans with a tight cuff bottom. They were wide in the hips with really cute pockets and the light color was perfect for the day to night transition (just like we did). I really am not a huge fan of intentionally super ripped and washed out jeans, I think they're trashy but light jeans are really great for a summer BBQ or what not because dark is well, so dank.

I just LOVE this girl!

That's all for now. I'd like to leave you with the ultimate blog shot, Nanc in her new rain coat...

(And people wonder where I get my shoulder pop...)
